Animation: Enzyme technology and biocontrol

Learn about our pioneering enzyme-based biocontrol technology – complementing Novozymes’ existing microbe-based solutions that improve crop yields through sustainable plant nutrition and control pests.

The agricultural industry faces significant challenges to replace or reduce chemical pesticides with more sustainable crop protection solutions. In some regions, the usage of key chemical pesticides is already significantly restricted and, importantly, consumers are increasingly demanding that the products they buy and use must be made in a sustainable manner.

In this animation, we take a closer look at the potential of our new enzyme-based biocontrol technology to serve as fast acting, highly efficacious yet sustainable pest control solutions for farmers globally to combat devastating crop pests.

We believe our technology has the potential to have a major impact in addressing the challenges to chemical pesticide usage – and meet the demands of consumers for sustainable, agriculture-based products.

As we roll up our sleeves in the labs over the next few years to bring this technology to market, we are eager to unlock the potential of our enzymes – and biology – to provide highly impactful, yet sustainable crop protection solutions.
